Luke Jansen, DPT

Dr. Luke Jansen is a licensed Physical Therapist who was born and raised on Long Island, NY and currently lives in Nassau County. He is trained to assess and treat various disorders and injuries for the purpose of restoring his patients health. He works directly with each patient to establish an individual treatment plan and sets goals that are tailored specifically to their needs. He is passionate about treating people from every background and establishing a professional relationship with them during the rehab process.

Dr. Jansen graduated with honors from Adelphi University in 2017 with his Bachelors in Exercise Science. During his undergraduate studies he helped run the Adelphi University Adult Fitness Program where he monitored and progressed adults for cardiopulmonary health and strength training. He then attended High Point University for his Doctorate in Physical Therapy where he graduated in 2020. While he was there he took selective courses in Sports rehabilitation, Advanced Manual Therapy, and Geriatric rehabilitation. Dr. Jansen had clinical internships where he specialized in sports and musculoskeletal disorders, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, pre and post-op oncological rehabilitation specifically with head and neck and breast cancer patients, neurological disorders including Parkinson’s, tremor disorders, dystonia, Alzheimer's, dementia, and post CVA patients. He also had the opportunity to work with professional NASCAR athletes with the Richard Childress Racing team while doing his clinical rotations, which gave him the opportunity to work in a fast-paced sports environment. He values all of his experiences, and uses techniques that he learned along the way to achieve optimal outcomes with his current patients.

Dr. Jansen is proficient in other skills including differential diagnosis and diagnostic imaging, spinal manipulation and manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, manual lymph drainage for head/neck/shoulder/arm, functional mobility assessment and training, strength training, vestibular rehab including treating BPPV, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, ultrasound, neuromuscular reeducation, chronic pain management including treatment for cervicogenic headaches and migraines, gait and balance training. “I look forward to establishing a relationship with each patient individually and working hands-on with them to achieve their personal goals.”
